Frequently Asked Questions

1. Who can get married?
In general, you are allowed to get married in British Columbia if you are at least 19 years of age. Different countries may have different regulations on the age of their citizens that is considered legal for marriage. Please state your citizenship at the time of booking, so we can collect the correct information for you.

2. Which papers are required?
You will need your Passport to get a Marriage License. You will have to attend in person to obtain this license. The ceremony can be held either on the day of obtaining the marriage license or on another day thereafter. The license is valid for 3 months.

3. Rings?
Rings are not necessary for the ceremony. You may of course bring your rings with you, if you wish to include the ring exchange in the ceremony.

4. Is the marriage legal in my country?
Is it imperative that we know the citizenship of both parties in order to obtain the correct information for the regulations in your home country.

5. When is the best time of year to get married in Vancouver?
The best months to have an outdoor wedding in Vancouver are May to September for our Summer packages and December to March for the Winter package.

6. What happens in case of rain?
Please remember that the ceremony will be outside, it will be a rain-or-shine event.

7. Divorced?
If you have been recently divorced, your papers will have to be valid for at least 1 month before you get married again. Prove of divorce papers is required if the divorce was less than 1 month ago. If you have been divorced for more than 1 month, you will not need any papers.

8. Payment Terms and Conditions

All Payments to be done in cash in CA$on the day of the wedding.

14 days - wedding day: 100% of the package price
